USM was having their convocation from 14th to 17th August 2008 at their main campus in Pulau Pinang. This is my second time going to USM for convocation. The last time was during my mum’s degree eight years ago. So let’s see what’s cool about USM Convocation Expo or Convex.
I went to USM Convex because I think I don’t have the chance to go for IIUM Convest this year. As far as I concern, none of my known schoolmates is studying in USM. By the way, I’m taking this opportunity to wish congratulations for MohdIsmail who had just graduated from USM.
The expo was located about 200 metres from the entrance. The best thing about their expo is that, it was situated in a shaded area. So visitors won’t get heated since there are big trees all over the place.
They have many interesting events. However, I only managed to watch the exhibition. They also have go-cart event on Sunday. I was amazed by the giant canopy for the stage performance.
USM also are very serious regarding the green environment. Still remember about the eco-pack? All foods and beverages at the expo are required to use paper based packaging material. I think IIUM can learn something from their campaign. - adlankhalidi.com
Konsep "Universiti Di Dalam Taman" yang diadunkan oleh USM ini menunjukkan hubungan akrab di antara peranan dan fungsinya sebagai institusi pengajian tinggi dalam persekitaran taman yang segar.
